Case studies

Three projects delivered by Soluciones Dacast, with measured results.

Case01/ 03

Solar energy · Turnkey installation · Adaptable solutions

Energy efficiency that powers operations in any environment

Integrated photovoltaic system for energy independence

A solution designed to enable and support the operations of an office in a remote location with no access to the public power grid, using an approach that can be adapted to urban facilities that need self-consumption or backup power.

  1. 01

    Demand assessment and sizing

We carried out a detailed assessment of the requirement and worked closely with the client to size the electrical loads and understand its current and future operational needs. This analysis allowed us to define a solution matched to the expected demand, with priority on reliability and adaptability.

  2. 02

    Solution implemented

Installation and interconnection of 14 solar panels rated at 550 W each, together with a hybrid inverter and a lithium battery storage system. The required equipment and accessories were integrated to give the office its own generation and storage.

  3. 03

    Outcome and application

The project made it possible to set up a fully functional office in a remote area with no connection to the public grid. The same approach can be evaluated for offices, retail sites and urban facilities, depending on their loads, building conditions and self-consumption or backup needs.

Case02/ 03

Data protection · Operational continuity · Virtualization

Backup and virtualization for a more resilient infrastructure

We modernized the backup and virtualization platform by integrating Veeam Backup & Replication with Proxmox VE, backup repositories, Fibre Channel connectivity and an IBM tape library.

  1. 01

    Solution analysis and design

We reviewed the technical requirements and the virtualization environment to define the backup, storage, networking and connectivity architecture. Close coordination with the client allowed us to align the deployment with its operational needs.

  2. 02

    Integrated implementation

Proxmox VE 9 was deployed on a physical server, with virtual machines for the Veeam server and the backup repository. VLAN-segmented networks and Fibre Channel access to the IBM tape library were also configured.

  3. 03

    Protection and validation

A hardened repository with immutability was implemented on Linux and XFS, protecting backups against modification or deletion during the configured period. This adds another layer of defense against ransomware and other incidents. Documented testing confirmed connectivity, recognition of the IBM library, tape writes, and successful reads and restores.

Case03/ 03

Specialized technical cleaning · Data center

Specialized cleaning to protect operational continuity

Technical work in a critical environment, with particle control, HEPA-filtered vacuuming and anti-static cleaning of infrastructure, racks and surfaces, without disconnecting active cabling or working inside the servers.

  1. 01

    Assessment and planning

We inspected the room and took an initial particle measurement to establish a baseline. The work was planned around the characteristics of the facility and the need to preserve operational continuity.

  2. 02

    Solution implemented

We performed technical cleaning of surfaces, racks and cabinets, cable trays and accessible infrastructure using HEPA-filtered industrial vacuums, microfiber cloths and anti-static tools. Supplies specific to critical environments were used, without working inside the servers or disconnecting active cabling.

  3. 03

    Protection and validation

A final measurement was taken and the result was documented with photographic evidence. The PM2.5 count fell from 449 to 59 particles per m³, a reduction of approximately 86.9%. The service was completed with the area operational and data center continuity preserved.
